If a particualar disease or illness has special implications or maniffestations for a specific population, like geriatric or puberty, special consideration is given. At the end of each chapter a bibliography lists other sources which could be used for additional research. Each chapter then gives a basic overview of the system followed by the different pathophysiological concepts which apply to that system, followed by conditions of the disease or injury. This structure makes review of a particular disease or injury simple and straight forward. An excellent index combined with great information makes this a great resource for brushing up on pathophysiology as well as writing out nursing care plans for clinicals.
