Epub King's Mountain
King's Mountain strikes the perfect balance between informative and entertainment. The characters are exceptionally well developed and the story moves along quickly. It's been a very long time since I read a book as quickly as this one. I rarely purchase "just released" titles, but I will make an exception for any works by Sharyn McCrumb in the future.

This historical novel does a good job of bringing the Battle of Kings Mountain to life. It tells of the events leading up to the battle and also includes the battle itself and some of the aftermath. This book needed to be written. The Battle of Kings Mountain was the turning point of the Revolutionary War. It is about time someone wrote a book to inform the masses of the Appalachian peoples' contribution to that war. A+ Sharyn McCrumb! Excellent work!
