You have to get this guide in order to pass the test. Use the textbook as a reference but you need to use the guide for the chapter test and to read a summary of the major points. If you can't afford bot the text and the guide, I would suggest you get the guide only and forgo the textbook.

I bought this book after the first lecture exam , my grade was went up from 87 to 97 on the second exam, I read this study guide at least 3 times before the exam, I did all the home work in the book, it help me to understand the lecture . Microbiology is not easy, I studied it everyday . My final grade is A because of this book help me a lot. I really love the study guide.
