While sometimes dry... this book is a good read, with information pertinent to fire fighters at any level. Whether just starting out, or as a refresher for a salty old Chief, it is an excellent reference, with much of the relevant NFPA sections cited.

Good book. Lots of pictures. Very informative. Information is laid out well and easy to read.
I don't agree with putting step by step lists in for every little thing in there. I mean, if you're reading this book, you should be proficient for starting the truck, putting it in pump gear, flowing a hydrant, etc. Aside from that, everything else was good.
Enjoyed seeing photos from Fort Worth-area departments. There's a lot of good departments that still see a lot of fire around there.
